Distance selling and your right to cancel: You can cancel or withdraw from your order within 1 week (7 days) of receiving your goods. No reason is necessary for the withdrawal, which you must give in writing (an e-mail will suffice) and by returning the goods, (please include a copy of your original order, or invoice). Goods which are not faulty shall be returned at your cost. Goods must be returned complete, unopened, and in original packaging. Ownership of goods
Title of goods does not pass to the purchaser until the goods are paid for in full. A Forrest Hay Ltd. does not normally offer any goods on a sale or return basis other than as stated in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and as amended 6th April 2005.
How the Contract is formed between You and Us
After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order (The order acknowledgement). Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that the product has been despatched (the “Despatch Confirmationâ€). Delivery and Shipment:
Whilst we use our best endeavours to ship your order within 24hrs of receipt, speed shall not be of the essence unless specified as such in writing at the time of order, we shall not be held liable for damage or loss of items once placed in the care of our delivery agent, howsoever caused. A FORREST HAY Ltd. shall not be liable for loss or damage to shipments that are selected at the time of checkout by the customer to ship via an un-insured service. In the event of loss or damage to un-insured shipments A FORREST HAY Ltd. shall not be held responsible for any financial, material or peripheral loss, but will provide on a best efforts basis reasonable assistance to the customer by providing information on means and method of shipment if required. Returns and Refunds Policy
Legal compliance
A Forrest Hay Ltd, returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.

In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off period' in which you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund. You do not need to give a reason for canceling your purchase. We are obliged to refund your payment in full within 30 days of your cancellation.

Refunds due to cancellation
Should you cancel your purchase with this 7 day 'cooling off' period, we will refund your payment in full. If you paid by credit or debit card from this website, your refund will be made directly to your credit or debit card within 30 days of your cancellation. If you paid by any other means, your refund will be made by cheque which will be posted to you within 30 days of your cancellation. There will be no charges for cancellation within this 7 day cooling off period.

Refunds for unwanted goods will only be made where the goods are returned unused, unopened and in re-saleable condition. Unwanted goods must be returned to us within 7 days of delivery.

We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to give us your name and address, and a copy of your purchase receipt.
Refunds for unwanted goods
Providing that unwanted goods are received by us in unused, unopened and resaleable condition within 7 days of delivery, we will refund payment for the goods. Orders placed by credit or debit card from this website will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card. Orders placed by other means will be refunded by cheque. These refunds will be made within 30 days of return of goods.
Damaged or Faulty Products
You can return Products if they are damaged, defective, or not as specified on the Confirmation Page. You should inspect the Products as soon as you receive them for defects or damage. If you find any Products to be damaged or faulty you must inform us within 10 days of receipt of Products. If the Products are found to be damaged or faulty on delivery to you we will at our discretion repair or replace the Products or refund the price paid by you.

(3) Contact number (preferably a mobile); and
(4) Reason for return.
In the case of a damaged defective or faulty product, please be prepared to provide a full description of the problem. This will ensure that we can process your return as quickly as possible.
All returns must be sent back to us in their original packaging. In the case of damaged items where the packaging itself is damaged please include the damaged packaging with the returned product.
